Testosterone Not Linked to Progression of Atherosclerosis
Potential cardiovascular risks associated with testosterone therapy have been up for debate, with many questioning the safety of the treatment. In a randomized trial published in JAMA, researchers examined the association between testosterone and atherosclerosis.
After 3 years, testosterone, as compared with placebo, did not appear to affect progression of atherosclerosis in older men with low or low-normal testosterone.
