Radioactive Iodine: To Treat or Not To Treat Low Risk Thyroid Cancer

BOSTON – The American Thyroid Association (ATA) has released new guidelines regarding radioactive iodine use in thyroid cancer treatment. Although new evidence suggests that radioactive iodine should not be used for all patients, there is some controversy with the new guidelines.
